The NZ Kauri is the most renowned of NZ native trees
for the magnificent height and girth it attains in its natural
state.

In the 1800s many trees were felled for their magnificent timber and the kauri gum that the trees produce. It is mostly found in the North Island of NZ where
pockets of it still remain.
