Well winter is finally here.  On a few nights lately I have brought the Eyebright rabbits inside my home at Eyebright to keep company with the dog and kitten.  None of us like to be cold and wet after all. Storm, my much loved English Pointer has taken up permanent residence on the office couch (HIS couch actually) where he remains tucked up most of the day courtesy of his considerate staff, trying to pretend he isn't noticing the new SPCA Special, Ben Super Kitten, now officially "Eyebright Mouser".

	70 Mile Bush Knitwear This terrific NZ made knitwear made with possum fibre, is up with the best in the world.  The possum fibre makes it extraordinarily strong, merino wool is used for strength and lycra for elasticity. Heels and toes are reinforced to keep your socks performing and your toes toasty for many winters to come. A fantastic product to come out of Norsewood where the factory is situated. I can personally recommend these!
	Great Range of Winter Scarves in Glorious Colours Winter definitely does not need to be dull.  We celebrate colour all year round at Eyebright and winter is no exception.  Come and try on some of these lovely scarves and brighten your winter.
	Winter is the Time for Baking Delicious Comfort Food and Silicon Cookware is such a Pleasure to Use I can personally recommend the huge range of silicon cookware we now sell.  Last night I used the cake tins  for the first time and how wonderful it was not to have a huge mess to clean up.  There was no time spent wasting time with cutting and fitting baking paper and the cakes  peeled out like a dream.  Straight into the dishwasher and no mess!!!
	We have new stocks of gorgeous Pacifica Toiletries, perfect for Gifts Pacifica is a totally NZ made range of toiletries which are a dream to use.  I always use the soaps because, not only are they extremely economical, they have great fragrances and are gentle on the skin.  They simply last and last. We now carry the extra lovely Banks & Co and Spa ranges for that added bit of luxury that is still very affordable.
	Pic's Peanut Butter Okay, I know I go on and on about this but this is THE BEST peanut butter ever.  There are no nasties in it to make your stomach gurgle and complain.  It is pure fresh Australian peanuts and Marlborough sea salt. I often make a wonderful Satay Sauce for stir frys, chicken, fish etc (well whatever I can think of actually as well as a bit extra just to lick out of the bowl).  Take 4 heaped tablespoons of Pic's Peanut Butter, 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 4 heaped tablespoons of honey, 1/2 teaspoon each of dried cumin and coriander and melt together.  Delicsssssssimo!!!!!

Well,  I hope that has got you feeling a bit more excited about the winter months.  We are of course open 7 days a week, the fire is blazing and we have complimentary tea and coffee to warm you up.  Storm is particularly partial to visitors and will happily receive a cuddle.
